Helping to Preserve and Define Alaska’s Cultures
Welcome to Crude Magazine.
My name is Cody Liska and I'll be your host.
My mission is to help preserve and define Alaska’s cultures and current issues through Crude Conversations, an Alaska podcast that uses long-form conversations as a springboard to discovering larger truths about what it means to be Alaskan.
I also host Chatter Marks, a podcast of the Anchorage Museum. It’s dedicated to exploring Alaska and the circumpolar north through the creative and critical thinking of ideas—past, present and future.
Follow along as I take a contemporary look at what it means to be an Alaskan, and what it means to work and live in the circumpolar north.
Support Crude.
Crude started in 2013 as a way to reclaim Alaska as it is represented in the media, to talk about our surroundings in an authentic way. Since then, Crude's endeavors have been funded and supported by communities inside and outside of Alaska. The reason Crude exists at all is because of its contributors and its supporters—I'm proud of that!
By becoming a patron, you will be giving Crude the ability to grow its coverage of Alaska. Thank you for your support and I look forward to working with you!
By the numbers.
